OPERATION SAVE AMERICA, one of the nation's largest and most extreme anti-abortion, anti-birth control groups, has chosen Birmingham as their target for their 2007 national summer anti-choice event.
They will be in Birmingham, Alabama, from July 14 - July 22.
A blurb from their website: "It will be our privilege to bring the Gospel of Christ to the gates of hell in Birmingham, Alabama, this summer once again. There are two remaining abortion mills in Birmingham, and the saints in this city have asked us to help push what is left of the abortion industry into a deep grave."
Your donations will help offset the significant costs associated with their visit.
Planned Parenthood of Alabama's Pledge-A-Picket campaign is designed to curb picketers in front of our health centers. With this program, supporters agree to donate a dime, quarter, dollar, or some other amount per picketer per day to discourage clinic harassment. These pledges will help offset the cost of the increased security measures needed to keep our clients safe while receiving reproductive health services from our health centers.
Operation Save America has a permit for up to 200 protestors per day during their week-long protest.
